3. USIN G THE CIRCULAR SAW
• Always wear goggles. Use of protective gloves and ear
defenders is recommended.
• Always withdraw the plug from the power supply socket
before replacing the blade, adjusting and maintenance of
the machine or in case of mains drop out.
• Always keep the power cable away from the working area
of the circular saw.
• Feed the circular saw toward the material only if it is
switched on.
• Never apply side pressure to stop the blade rotation after
switching off the saw.
• Do not use blades thicker and with teeth set thinner than
the slotting knife with thickness 2 mm.
• Do not use blades with parameters not corresponding to
those mentioned above.
• Do not dismount the slotting knife, except for emersion
incision.
• Mobile guard must not be locked in open position during
the pauses between different operations.
• Be intent when working with the saw to prevent incision
of nails, etc.
• Feed the circular saw smoothly (thus reducing accidents
and prolonging blade life).
• Do not overload the saw.
• On jamming the blade switch out the tool immediately
(by loosening switch lever).
• T his tool satisfies the corresponding safety requirements.
E xcept for changing the blade, adjusting the slotting knife
and incision debt, all other operations and repairs must
be performed by an authorized person in the authorized
warranty service centre.
• Power tools must not be used autdoors in rainy weather,
or in moist environment (after rain) or in close vicinity
with easily flammable liquids and gases. T he working place
should be well lit.
4. SOUN D LEVEL
The noise and vibration levels of this device have been mea-
sured in accordance with E uropean standard E N 60745-2-5
and E N 60745-1 and serve as a basis for comparison with
other machines with similar applications.
- 1
The indicated vibration level has been determined for the
device's main applications and may be used as an initial value
for evaluating the risk presented by exposure to vibrations.
However, vibrations may reach levels that are quite different
from the declared value under other application conditions,
with other tools or with insufficient maintenance of the
electrical device or its accessories, reaching a much higher
value as a result of the work cycle or the manner in which
the electrical device is used.
Therefore, it is necessary to establish safety measures to
protect the user from the effects of vibrations, such as
maintaining both the device and its tools in perfect con-
dition and organising the duration of work cycles (such as
operating times when the machine is subjected to loads,
:<2.5 m/s
2
and operating times when working with no-load, in effect,
h
2
not in use, as reducing the latter may have a considerable
effect upon the overall exposure value).
5. SWITCHIN G ON - SWITCHING OFF
Switching on: -press locking button 1 (Fig. 1) and then the
lever of ON/OFF switch 2 (Fig. 1).
Switching off: -release the lever of ON/OFF switch 2 (Fig. 1).
6. MOUN TIN G THE BLADE
The blade is covered by mobile guard 9 (Fig. 2) at rest and
during work. T urn the guard over and hold in this position.
Unscrew by Allen key screw 6 (Fig. 2), while detaining clam-
ping washer 5 (Fig. 2) by a spanner or by placing the blade
upon wood. Dismount washer 5 (Fig. 2) and blade. Mounting
the blade is achieved in reverse order. T he supporting surfaces
of thrust washer 5 (Fig. 2), blade and clamping washer 5
(Fig. 2) must be clean. T he directions of arrows on the blade
and the immobile guard must correspond.
7. ADJUSTING THE SLOTTIN G KN IFE
Slotting knife 9 prevents jamming the blade. It should be
adjusted so that the distance to the top of teeth and cutting
depth must not exceed 5 mm (see the drawing). Tighten the
slotting knife by Allen-head screw 10 (Fig. 4) on the rear
of the immobile guard.
8. ADJUSTING THE CUTTIN G DEPTH
Choose cutting depth 5 mm bigger than material thickness.
Loosen wing nut 3 (Fig. 3), adjust the cutting depth by ruler
