M Care and Maintenance
N ZipSpeed Xtreme Use
1 To maximise the lifespan of any trolley (of any brand), be sure to use a cable of better-quality
(smoother construction). This will result in less damage being caused to the trolley bearings in use.
The lifespan of the Noise Reduction wheels can be maximised by using a better quality cable.
2 ARC079 and its 'Air Paddle' to be used in conjunction with an appropriate braking system
3 Optional Fender can be used when the Grab Rope system isn't in use
4 Use either KH204 (Aluminium) Karabiner or KH212 (Steel) Karabiner
O ZipSpeed Xtreme Karabiner Use
Recommended ISC Karabiners are: KH204 (Aluminium), KH212 (Steel)
1 Correct Karabiner placement
2 Incorrect Karabiner placement - cross loaded on karabiner gate - highly dangerous
3 Incorrect Karabiner placement - cross loaded on karabiner spine - highly dangerous
4 Incorrect Karabiner placement - attached to one frame and not both -highly dangerous
P ZipSpeed Xtreme ARC Cam Function
1
a Shown in 'active' or 'ready to use' position.
b Sprung detent adjustment - undo the lock nut, adjust the slotted screw, re-tighten the lock nut
c Replaceable ARC cam - undo the lock nut, remove the axle bolt, replace the cam, replace the
axle bolt and re-tighten the nut
d 'Return' spring housing - apply lubrication here to ensure free movement of the 'air paddle'
2
a View shows the 'air paddle' during travel. When the trolley is released the wind pressure pushes
the 'air paddle' back, lifting the ARC cam off the cable for noise reduction (prevents chattering
noise on the cable)
b ARC Cam is held off the cable whilst the trolley is running at high speed
3
a When the trolley slows down at the end of the run the 'air paddle' returns to this position,
allowing the ARC Cam to engage with the cable
b ARC Cam position - engaged with the cable
4
a View shows the 'air paddle' folded forward/ flat ready for transit. The 'air paddle' is protected
between the 2 side frames of the trolley
Q ZipSpeed Xtreme Pre-use Check
1 Check the frame, apertures, bumpers are free from cracks and deformation
2 Ensure the correct karabiner is being used (KH204 Aluminium, KH212 Steel) and is
attached correctly
3 Ensure the Air Paddle and ARC Cam are moving smoothly, and the Air Paddle springs back into
its upright position after being lowered
4 Check that the wheels rotate freely and that the noise reduction coating is free from damage,
pitting, loss of material or extreme colour change
