When lifting the outer case off the internal assembly, note that the gasket will
be coated in grease. Avoid any contact. If contact is made, wash thoroughly.
Removing the lower case to change the battery exposes the internal circuitry
which will be at a hazardous voltage if the equipment is connected to the AC
supply or test leads. Disconnect AC supply and test leads before opening the
case.
ON NO ACCOUNT must the inner case be opened. Hazardous voltages will
be exposed. No user serviceable parts are inside. Refer servicing to qualified
service personnel.
If there is any damage to the inner casing or the battery compartment lid,
then confirm that the left rotary switch is in the OFF position, disconnect the
old battery and DO NOT connect the new one. Refit the bottom cover and
contact Megger for service.
Take special care not to leave foreign bodies inside the casing.
Remove the battery and return the instrument for service should any foreign
object fall inside the instrument.
Use only Megger approved battery pack, and follow the instructions provided
with the battery.
Use only the supplied plastic switch-adjuster to set the battery pack
switches. DO NOT use metal or conductive alternatives.
Dispose of old battery pack in accordance with local regulations.
DO NOT ship a faulty battery.

The crossed out wheeled bin symbol placed on Megger products is a
reminder not to dispose of the product at the end of its life with general
waste.

How to change the battery

Tools Required
Hex key 3mm AF
Screw driver Pozidriv no. 1
Plastic switch-adjuster (supplied with new battery)
Before you begin, make sure the instrument is switched off and all test leads
are disconnected. Then follow the pictorial guide on page 3 to remove the old
battery.
On completion install the new battery pack by following the pictorial guide on
page 3 in reverse order.
Ensure :
The battery connector is securely clipped into place
The gasket is fitted correctly in the groove provided.
All fasteners are fitted and tightened.
Dispose of old battery pack in accordance with local regulations.
