Intended use of the power tool.
This power tool is intended as a hand-guided
grinder for commercial use, for dry-sanding/
grinding and cutting metal and stone in weather-
protected environments using the application
tools and accessories recommended by FEIN.
Operating instructions.
Mounting the auxiliary handle (Figure 5).
Screw the auxiliary handle tightly onto
the left or right side of the power tool,
depending on the working method.
Mounting the guard (Figure 4).
Loosen the tightening screw (4a).
Insert the clip of the wheel guard (4)
into the groove on the power tool.
Turn the wheel guard (4) to the
required working position and clamp the
wheel guard (4) using the tightening
screw (4a).
Adjustments.
Adjusting the guard (Figure 4).
Loosen the tightening screw (4a).
Turn the wheel guard (4) to the
required working position and clamp the
wheel guard (4) using the tightening
screw (4a).
Changing the tool.
Attaching or changing the wheel (Figure 3).
Only press the locking button (2) when
the motor is not running.
Press the locking button (2) and keep it
pressed down. Undo the threaded flange
using the face spanner.
Completely unscrew the threaded
flange.
Change the used accessory or insert a
new one.
In so doing, make sure that the grinding
tool is centred properly between the inner
and threaded flange.
Screw the threaded flange in again by
hand.
Press the locking button (2) and keep it
pressed down. Screw the threaded flange
tightly using the face spanner.
Securing the work piece.
Secure the workpiece adequately. A
workpiece that is not properly secured
can, for example, cause the accessory to jam and
kick back, fall and cause other hazards.
General operating instructions.
Setting the speed WSG 12-70 E (Figure 6).
Stepless speed adjustment is possible within the
range listed in the "Specifications".
Turn the thumbwheel (6) between "1"
for the lowest speed and "6" for the high-
est speed.
Switching ON and OFF (Figure 1).
First check that the mains supply lead and
mains plug are not damaged.
Switching ON:
Push the switch (1) towards the
front (I).
Switching OFF:
Push the switch (1) towards the rear (0).
The angle grinder starts gently and reaches
its working speed after a short time.
The self-start prevention lock prevents the angle
grinder from starting again on its own accord if
the current supply has been interrupted during
operation, even if only for a short time, e.g. by
pulling out the mains plug.
Apply the power tool to the workpiece.
Conduct the mains lead away from the rotat-
ing wheel. If you lose control over the
power tool, the mains lead could be cut through
or caught, thereby drawing your hand or your
arm into the rotating wheel.
Use a high speed for grinding or cutting
operations.
Do not strain the power tool!
Grinding:
Keep to an angle of tilt of 20 – 40°. In
this way you will obtain a good removal.
Press the power tool on evenly and
move it over the surface.
