Decorative door sill covers – alu

The accessories are intended for professional fitting. ŠKODA AUTO recommends that they are

fitted in an authorised workshop.

Note:

The templates for correctly positioning the door sill covers (fig. 2) on the vehicle sills are not

included in the set and must be ordered separately from the ŠKODA Original Accessories

range using order no. 57A 071 718.

Please note: Use the openings in the templates to mark where the

door sill covers are to be positioned on the vehicle sills. These are

indicated by black arrows on a green background. Make sure that you

position the correct template carefully on the vehicle sill and draw the

line along the outer edge of the opening.

Important fitting information

In order to ensure that the door sill covers are properly adhered to the vehicle, the ambient

temperature, the vehicle temperature and the temperature of the components to be fitted

must be between 18 and 30 °C. Protect the components from direct sunlight.

How to adhere the door sill covers

- Thoroughly wash the vehicle sills with mild soapy water and rinse them with clean water.

Then degrease them with a suitable cleaning agent. Leave to dry for approximately

10 minutes.

- Use the templates to correctly position the door sill covers on the vehicle sills. Always posi-

tion the correct template on the vehicle sill, as shown in the figure.

- The templates for the front door sill covers perfectly follow the contours of the vehicle sill

and the A-pillar. The templates for the rear door sill covers perfectly follow the contours of

the vehicle sill and the B-pillar.

- Use a suitable felt-tip pen to make marks where the sill covers are to be positioned on the

vehicle sills. Make sure that you draw the line along the outer edge of each of the

openings – the openings are indicated by black arrows on a green background.
