Please note: Ensure that the indicated area of the spoiler that is to be
adhered is completely free from dirt and moisture.

Only for vehicles with a virtual pedal
› Use sandpaper (grit 80) to roughen the area of the spoiler that is to be adhered (see arrows
("a")). This surface is made from polyurethane.
› Use a Mirlon VF non-woven abrasive pad to roughen the polypropylene surface of the cover
cap where the aerial is to be adhered and the bumper bottom section where the retaining
clip is to be adhered, as shown in the detail (see arrows ("b")).
› Then clean and degrease the roughened surfaces with the Terostat 8550 cleaning agent.
Leave to dry for 10 minutes.
Please note: Use sandpaper (grit 80) for the areas labelled "a".
Use the Mirlon VF non-woven abrasive pad for the areas labelled "b".
Caution: The surface where the spoiler is to be adhered must be
completely free from grease and paint residue.

› Apply 3M 4297 UV activator (B) to the roughened polyurethane spoiler surface (see arrows
("a")). Leave to dry for 10 minutes.
› Apply 3M 4298 UV activator (C) to the roughened polypropylene surface of the cover cap
where the aerial is to be adhered and the bumper bottom section where the retaining clip is
to be adhered, as shown in the detail (see arrows ("b")). Leave to dry for 10 minutes.
Please note: Apply 3M 4297 UV activator to the areas labelled "a".
Apply 3M 4298 UV activator to the areas labelled "b".

› First, adhere the retaining clip to the prepared surface (see arrow).
› Then, carefully adhere the virtual pedal aerial and the control unit retainer to the prepared
surfaces (see arrows). Press down on them firmly along the entire length of the surface to
which they are adhered. Make sure that the wires are positioned correctly (red, black).
Secure the wiring harness for the virtual pedal aerial with the retaining clips.
› Plug the connector for the virtual pedal aerial into the control unit as shown in the detail in
fig. 9, 10. Clip the control unit into the retainer.
› Clip the spoiler to the top of the rear bumper (see fig. 2) in accordance with the instructions
in the ŠKODA Repair Manual – see the "Fitting work" section in the "Body" chapter.
› Plug in the connector for the virtual pedal and secure it with the retaining clips.
› Depending on the equipment specification, fit the PDC/PLA retainer in accordance with the
instructions in the ŠKODA Repair Manual.
› Then fit the sensors and the wiring harness.
