MSA recommends writing the date of first use onto a

sticker (supplied with each box of 20 helmets) and
stick it into the shell. This is usually the date when
service life starts. The expiry date can also be written
under the brim at the appropriate location.
Suspension: replace when damaged or

contaminated, or as required for hygienic reasons

Face shield: Replace when damaged or scratched

or when connected pivots are damaged.

It is possible to convert the V-Gard 950 with face
shield to a V-Gard 930 with over spectacles by
installing the over spectacles GA90035.
