FINAL ADJUSTMENT
AND START-UP
After 3 to 7 days of charging under full sunshine, it is time
to do final adjustments and start using the light.
Power Selection Switch:
On the bottom of the battery case there is the power
selection switch with 3 positions: OFF, ON, and AUTO.
OFF Position – Used for shipping or extended periods
of non-use. Also used for the initial 3-to-7-day charge
before final adjustment and first use.
ON Position – The light can be switched on for longer
time periods by moving the switch to the ON position.
AUTO Position – The light will illuminate for 10 seconds
each time movement is detected.

Adjusting Motion Sensor:
After the initial 3-to-7-day charge, move the power se-
lection switch to the AUTO position. The lamps will im-
mediately illuminate.
The motion sensor direction can be rotated right or left
to aim the sensor. To do so, place your thumb on the
triangular tab on the rear of the motion sensor dome.
Press the tab to rotate the dome to the desired position.

Adjusting Spotlight Lamps:
To adjust the vertical position of each lamp, rotate up
or down. To adjust the horizontal position of each lamp,
rotate left or right to the desired position. You can adjust
the horizontal position of both lamps together by rotating
the lamp dome right or left.
Walking Test:
The sensor detects "motion" by the movement of heat
(body heat) across the coverage area. However, following
are examples of objects that also produce heat and can
cause the sensor to false trigger:
• Pools of Water
• Dryer Vents
• Heating Vents
If you suspect that a heat source of this type is falsely
triggering the sensor, try aiming the sensor away from
the heat source in question.
Note: The detector is less sensitive to motion directly
towards it and more sensitive to across motion.
Motion
Least Sensitive
Aim the motion sensor toward the area where you want
to detect motion. Test the motion sensor coverage of the
area by walking slowly within the desired area. When the
light comes on, stop and wait for it to turn off. Continue
this process until the motion sensor can no longer pick
up the movement. This process will establish the outside
edges of the detection area. Adjust the motion sensor
position as needed to establish the desired coverage area.
