WARNING :
To protect against possible personal injury due to abrupt start of the machine� be sure to start the
following work after turning the power off and ascertaining that the motor is at rest.
Ths tem s appled only to the case where DLN-6390 s used.
1. Selecting the motor pulley and the belt
Max. sewng speed of ths sewng machne s 5,000 st/mn (normal speed : 4,500 st/mn). However, when sttch length
s 3.6 mm or more, max. sewng speed s 4,500 st/mn. Select the optmum motor pulley referrng to the table below.
＊ Use the HM type V belt.
) Use a clutch motor wth an output of 400 W (/2 HP) as the standard.
2) Relaton among the motor pulley, belt length and sewng speed of the sewng machne s as shown n the table below.

• Effectve dameter of the motor pulley s obtaned by subtractng 5 mm from the outsde dameter.
• Drecton of rotaton of the motor s counterclockwse as observed from the pulley. Take care not to allow the pulley to
turn n the reverse drecton.
• When the aforementoned motor pulley and the belt are used, the chan connectng the pedal and the presser foot lftng
mechansm may nterfere wth the motor due to the knd of the motor. In ths case, change the length of the aforemen-
toned belt and adjust the poston of the motor to the poston where the motor does not nterfere wth the chan.
