MULTIPLE ERRORS: CHECK STATUS LIGHTS

Indicators and Alarms

Some malfunctions or component failures will cause
the dryer to enter a fixed-cycle mode using 15% of the
design airflow to regenerate the vessel. Other failures
may cause it to enter Standby Mode.
Low Inlet Air Pressure
The front panel indicator will light immediately when
the air line pressure drops below 65 psig. If the low
pressure condition is not corrected by the end of the
offstream tower's regeneration cycle, the dryer will
enter Standby Mode. When the pressure increases to
above 65 psig, the dryer will automatically restart.
Pressure Transducer Malfunction
No Signal: The sensor malfunction indicator will not
light when a zero signal condition occurs. This condi-
tion also indicates that there is no compressed air pres-
sure. The low inlet air indicator will light and the dryer
will enter Standby Mode. This may happen if the con-
nector (CON 7) on the control board is not securely
plugged in, if there is an open wire in the transducer
circuit, or if the transducer is faulty.
High Signal: The front panel sensor malfunction indi-
cator will light immediately. Transducer output should
be checked using a DC millivolt meter. If the trans-
ducer is faulty it must be replaced. The dryer will con-
tinue to operate when this indicator is lighted.
PRESSURE
80 psig
100 psig
120 psig
Temperature Sensor
The front panel sensor malfunction indicator will flash
if this sensor fails. The Compu-Purge will default to a
fixed 100°F inlet temperature signal and continue to
operate in the Variable Purge Mode. Output of the sen-
sor can be checked on the control board at connector
CON 6. Using a DC voltmeter, attach the negative lead
to Pin 1, positive lead to Pin 2.
TEMPERATURE
DC VOLTAGE
32°F
104°F
Models with LCD display will indicate the following
error codes:
1-18
TRANSDUCER OUTPUT
20.020 MV
25.050 MV
30.030 MV
OHMS
1.331
1854
1.482
2153
1.
32°F — TEMPERATURE SENSOR MALFUNCTION
Indicates a short circuit condition across the sen-
sor.
2.
390°F — TEMPERATURE SENSOR MALFUNCTION
Indicates possible transducer or control board
malfunction or temperature is out of calibration
range of 33°F – 284°F.
3.
750°F — TEMPERATURE SENSOR MALFUNCTION
Indicates sensor is unplugged (CON 6) or an open
circuit condition exists.

FIELD SERVICE GUIDE

WARNING
Compressed air can be dangerous unless
safety precautions are observed in the use of
c o m p re s s e d a i r a n d c o m p re s se d a i r
equipment. Completely vent the internal air
p re s s u re t o t h e a t m o s p h e r e b e f o r e
disassembling any piping, fittings, valves or
other components and before doing any work
on compressed air equipment. To vent internal
air pressure, follow the shutdown instructions
on page 1-10.
