the procedure described in the chapter "PREPARING THE MA-
CHINE FOR OPERATION".
Maintenance of the spark plug
Disconnect the cable from the spark plug.
Remove the spark plug with the spark plug wrench (IX).
Use a wire brush to clean carbon deposits off the electrodes
(so-called combustion deposits).
Check the distance between the electrodes from 0.5 mm to
0.7 mm. (XII)
If burned electrodes or the ceramic casing is broken, replace
the spark plug with a new one.
Screw in the spark plug. Connect the cable to the spark plug.
Storage of the generator
CAUTION! It is forbidden to store the generator containing fuel
for a period longer than 30 days, counted from fi lling the tank
with fuel.
The generator to be stored must be prepared for storage ac-
cording to the following procedure.
Remove the fuel fi ller cap, remove the fuel from the tank, for
example by using a suitable pump. Install the fuel fi ller cap.
Move the suction lever to the "CLOSE" position until stops.
Pull the starter pull cord so that the engine makes a few revolu-
tions. Stop pulling the rope when you feel resistance.
Remove the spark plug, insert a small amount of engine oil into
the cylinder through the mounting hole.
Pull the starter pull rope until the engine makes a few revolu-
tions and the piston stops at its highest upper position. Screw
in the spark plug.
Clean the outside of the generator.
Store the generator in a dry, well-ventilated and covered room.
Store the generator in a horizontal position.
Transporting the generator
WARNING! The generator must always be transported with the
combustion engine stopped and the consumers disconnected.
For short distances, e.g. when moving the generator at the
point of use, the generator must be transported by hand, hold-
ing it by the handle.
Be careful not to swing or tilt the generator to spill fuel. The
generator may be hot, stay cautious to avoid burns.
In the case of transport over long distances, the generator tank
must be emptied of fuel. The generator must be transported in
a horizontal position. Secure the machine with belts to prevent
it from tipping over during transport.
