Closing Lever Force:
78 – 137 N (8 – 14 kgf)
A) TO OPEN
Slide Security Knob toward narrow end of Lever and pull
Lever away from bike.
B) TO CLOSE
Close Hinge and ensure that the two sections of Hinge
are firmly engaged. Push Lever toward bike until you hear
a click. Lever should comfortably close, requiring a force
of 78 – 137 N (8 – 14 kgf). If Lever is too difficult or too
easy to close, please see the Adjust section.
The Safety Pin should fully engage the Sliding Pivot.
These two parts form the DeadBolt™ safety mechanism
which acts as a secondary locking system to keep your
TFL Hinge closed in the event that your Lever becomes
too loose.
