In the event of any deformation or cracks, the connector must be discarded.
During use, make sure that the connector is only subject to load along the length axis and not in
a crosswise direction (lock).
For working in higher workplaces, the knurled nut must always be tightened. Manually
lockable connectors should only be used if the user does not often need to fit and remove
the connector during his workday.
9.1.2 with automatic lock
Operation:
These karabiners (connectors) can be operated in two modes, i.e.,
a. with the hook opening to the front, with the rear side of the hook pointing to the stretched
thumb
b. in the opposite direction to that described in (a), i.e.,
the rear side of the hook pointing towards the heel of the hand, the hook opening towards
the fingers (mainly used for work positioning)
In both cases, operation is the same:
First, the "heel strap" is pushed towards the hook using the heel of the hand, then the "closing
strap" is opened with the fingertips and the tip of the open and bent hook is fastened to an eyelet
or an anchoring device. When using pipe hooks, the hook is fixed on a pipe/girder. Then the hook
is released, the closing strap automatically closes the opening of the hook and the heel strap
secures the closed strap.

Warning notes on the use of connectors
Never apply load to the lock of connectors.
The connector length must be considered for the harness as it affects the falling distance.
The strength of a connector may be reduced, e.g., when using connecting straps which
are too wide.
Read the operating instructions for the connector.
These operating instructions must be accessible to the user of the
equipment. The owner is fully responsible for ensuring that the user
reads and understands the instructions!
