2. Mounting instructions for the cabling:
Cable with resistors
Plug 441 902 312 2
Before starting the installation, make sure that the EBS system is de-energised.
Connect the 6 orange plugs from cable 449 834 013 0 to the orange plugs of the 6 brake pad wear
indicators. If the vehicle does not have 3 axles, connect plugs 441 902 312 2 accordingly to the cable
ends which are not plugged in. Use extension cables 449 720 050 0 for the front axle of the drawbar
trailer. Connect the individual plug on the end of the cable to the EBS modulator. When routing the
cables, make sure that they are neither kinked nor under tension.
3. Startup of the wear indicator:
A diagnostic tool is required in order to start up the wear indicator, as is the appropriate right to set
parameters. Here, the startup procedure is illustrated with diagnostic software (min. version 3.00). It is
also possible to perform the startup with the program card (version 2.00) and the diagnostic controller.
Begin the startup procedure once you have established the connection between the diagnostic software
and the EBS electronic control unit:
