7 OPERATION.

7.1 Switching the unit On and Off.

Switch on the Active E-Bike by pushing the central button (-) of the
control ring during 3 seconds (c).
Switch off the Active E-Bike by pushing the central button (-) of the
control ring during 3 seconds (d).
Light system
The Active E-Bike is equipped with a light system powered by the
system main battery. To switch the front and rear lights on, push
the down ( ) button during 3 seconds (e). At the same time, the
backlight of the display unit will switch on and off. The lights on
indicator will appear on the screen.

7.2 Using the assistance.

The BMW Active E-Bike has four assistance levels, in addition to the
No Assist level that allows riding the e-bike exactly as a conventional
bike.
ECO: 30%. The display will show the word 'ECO' on a green area.
A paired green LED light will be activated in the remote-control ring.
ECO+: 50%. The display will show the word 'ECO+' on a blue area.
The remote-control LED light will change to blue.
SPORT: 70%. The display will show the word 'SPORT' on an
orange area. The remote-control LED light will change to orange.
BOOST: 100%. The display will show the word 'BOOST' on a red
area. The remote-control LED light will change to red.
The different assistance levels can be selected pushing shortly the
up ( ) or down ( ) buttons.
