Charging status
- Red light (blinking): Abnormal charging. Interrupt the process and
start again following the indicated sequence.
- Green light (blinking): Charge completed and charger in stand-by
mode
Interrupting the charging process does not damage the
battery pack.
The battery pack reaches its maximum service life, if it is
charged in ambient temperatures between 10ºC and 30°C.
Do not attempt to charge or use a damaged battery pack.
Charging status display

(1). Each LED corresponds to about 20% capacity. The charging
status of the activated battery pack is also shown on the display.

LED ring
The LED rings located at both sides of the front rack mount cylinder
also provides battery charge information, in addition to other
functions as explained in the following graphic:

8.5 Energy Saving Protection modes

The BMW Active E-bike battery has been designed to ensure a
long-life cycle. This is possible thanks to the advanced automatic
consumption and risks due to temperatures out of range.
