7.10 Error codes.

The Active E-Bike display shows error messages for the entire
system (a). Error messages represent errors recognized by the
system. If when switching on the Active E-Bike or during the ride
an error message is displayed, follow the instructions displayed on
the screen (b). If the problem cannot be solved, contact your BMW
dealer (c).
Warning: Pay attention to error messages! Error messages
can indicate serious faults in the system. Stop riding the
e-bike. These errors prevent safe operation of the e-bike.
They may result in personal injury or damage to the e-bike.
7.11 Maintenance & cleaning.
Keep all the components of your e-bike clean, in particular the
contacts of the battery pack and its mounting. Clean them carefully
with a soft and dry cloth.
All components including the drive unit must not be dipped
in water or cleaned using a high-pressure cleaner.
For servicing or repairs to the e-bike, please contact an
authorized bicycle dealer.
