10 Description of device
The MEDUCORE Easy is an automated external defibrilla-
tor (AED). It supports the user in resuscitating patients pre-
senting with symptoms of an acute cardiovascular arrest
(pulseless ventricular tachycardia (PVT) or ventricular fibril-
lation (VF)).
The MEDUCORE Easy guides the user through resuscita-
tion by means of acoustic and visual instructions. The de-
vice performs an ECG analysis on the patient and, if
required, prepares to deliver an electric shock. The shock
itself is delivered by the user once requested to do so by
the device.
Use the MEDUCORE Easy only for the purpose described
here.
The MEDUCORE Easy is designed for the resuscitation of
patients with a body weight of 20 kg or more at the loca-
tion of the emergency.
The MEDUCORE Easy may only be used by persons with
evidence of the following qualification:
• training in basic life-saving first-aid measures,
including the use of automated defibrillators.
• instruction in the use of the MEDUCORE Easy by a
person authorized by Weinmann.
