3.5 In an emergency - what you need to know
If you suspect an acute cardiovascular arrest in a patient,
please note the following points.
1.
Keep calm and act rapidly.
2.
Examine the patient for the following vital signs:

responsiveness
–
breathing
Warning!
You must not use MEDUCORE Easy on patients
other than those not responding and not breath-
ing properly.
3.
Place an emergency call. If possible, have a bystander
call for professional help whilst you start resuscitation.
4.
Check the MEDUCORE Easy and accessories for
external damage.
5.
Open the lid of the MEDUCORE Easy. The device
switches on automatically.
6.
Now follow the voice prompts from the device. For
detailed information on the sequence of voice
prompts, see Section "Operation" on page 22.

please see the contents of your training session on basic
life support.
