1. Prepare the Valve
Thin Wall Installation
NOTE: The plaster guard may be installed behind the wall to add
stability, but front servicing of the transfer valve will no longer be
possible. You will need to provide rear access to the valve.
Provide a 3" (7.6 cm) diameter hole in the wall material.
Thick Wall Installation
Provide a 3-3/4" (9.5 cm) to 3-7/8" (9.8 cm) diameter hole in the
wall material.
For All Installations
Attach the plaster guard to the cartridge sleeve and stem
assembly using the two escutcheon screws in the holes labeled for
your application.
