6.) Lowering a fallen person
Sollte es zu einer Notsituation kommen, kann die gestürzte und
ggf. verletzte Person wie folgt von der sichernden Person
abgelassen werden:
Make sure that the Lory belay device has blocked and that the
person who has fallen is hanging safely. Only then can you let go of
the rope (if this has not already happened due to the fall).
Note:
The rope must move freely out of the rope bag during the lowering
of the fallen person and must not get jammed by any loops or
cranes. Make sure that you do not injure yourself through friction or
crushing.
The lowering process is initiated by pressing the orange lever on
the Lory belay device. You must hold the free end of the rope with
your hand. Start at low speed and adjust according to the conditions
(see instructions MAT-BA-0173 and Fig. 6 - Lever positions).
Attention!
During lowering, always keep an eye on the person who has fallen
and may be injured. Always maintain eye contact and try to avoid
contact with obstacles and hitting the structure.
If the person who has fallen has reached the ground and is injured,
give first aid immediately.
The set must then be discarded.
