Installation of the inlet in the following filter modules (G)
Set a sealing ring DN 150 into the opening of container (M 2/ M 3/ M 4) provided for this purpose and screw connect
the outlet DN 150/2 and the container from inside. Close filter modules openings which are not required using the
supplied plugs and sealing rings (D).
Connecting the modules (H)
Push the O ring (H-1) onto the outlet socket DN 150/1 up to the first recess (H-2). Push the inlet socket DN 150/2 of
the next module onto the outlet socket DN 150/1 up to the stop (H-3). The O ring will then roll into its final position.
Installation of the air connection (H)
Push the oxygen stone holder (H-5) onto the outlet socket of the previous filter module from inside. Connect the air
supply line (H-4) to the oxygen stone (H-6) and route it in the guide of the oxygen stone holder and over the container
rim to be able to connect a OASE pond aerator (e.g. AquaOxy).
Installation of an optional UVC clarifying unit for the "Gravity principle" operating mode
Installation at the system outlet (module M 1 pump chamber) (I1): Use a 10 mm bit to drill through the cavities in the
con-tainer wall with the outlet opening from inside the container. Fasten the Bitron holder (optional) at the container
(outside). Use the connection set to connect the water inlet of the UVC pre-filtering unit (Bitron from OASE) with the
outlet of the pump chamber M 1 and screw connect the rear feet with the Bitron holder.
Alternatively, you can also integrate a Bitron Gravity UVC unit in the DN 100 hose system as required.
Installation of an optional UVC clarifying unit for the "Pumped system" operating mode
Installation at the inlet of module M 2 (Screenex coarse soiling separator) (I2): Close the DN-100 opening with the sup-
plied sealing ring, the plug and the screws. Use the connection set to connect the water outlet of the UVC clarifying unit
(Bitron from OASE) to the inlet of the pump chamber M 2.
Alternatively, you can also integrate a Bitron Gravity UVC unit in the DN 100 hose system as required.
Installation of the system outlet
• Principle of gravity (F): Fasten the connection set at the pump chamber M1 outlet. To avoid pressure loss, minimise
the length of the hose connection having a largest possible internal diameter without bends and well protected, then
saw off the stepped hose nozzle at the appropriate points for the individual hose. Heat the hoses in hot water, push
or screw onto the stepped hose nozzle and secure with a hose clip.
• Pumped systems: Connect a DN 100 pipe to the water outlet and route it as straight as possible (max. 45° bends)
and well protected.
Installation of the dirt drain
The dirt water contains, amongst others, fish manure and has to be disposed of in accordance with the valid legal
regulations. The dirt drains of the filter system are connected to a DN 70 pressure pipe to be laid with a 30 mm gravity
in flow direction.
Starting up and checking the correct function
Important! Ensure that in the filter mode the stop valves of the dirt drain are always closed! Otherwise danger
of completely emptying the pond.
Adhere to the safety information given above! Prior to starting up, check if all remaining hooks at the inner covers of
thefilter modules (M 2/ M 3/ M 4) are firmly closed and if all connected hoses and pipes are correctly connected. Open
the slide at the system inlet, switch on the pump, check the system for leaks.
Note: After a new installation, the system only reaches its full biological cleaning effect after a few weeks. Full bacteria
activity only starts from an operating temperature of + 10 °C, which can be checked at the control thermometer of the
filter modules (M 2/ M 3/ M 4).

Maintenance and cleaning

Attention! Dangerous electrical voltage.
Possible consequences: Death or severe injury.
Protective measures: Switch off the mains voltage prior to carrying out work on the unit.
Adhere to the safety information given above! Only clean the unit when required, do not use chemical cleaning agents
to allow the filter biology to optimally develop, knowing that cleaning agents kill the bacteria in the foam filters. At the
beginning, this entails a reduced filter capacity. Clean the filter system immediately when the float switch in the water
level display is visible from outside (only with pumped systems). Switch the pump off and secure against unintentional
switching on again, close the slide at the system inlet, remove the filter module cover.
