• The correct storage of the car seat (apart of
daily use in the car) is important to maintain
the operation of Chicco BebèCare without
any changes and must respect the limits
regarding temperature (between -20°C and
+60° C) and humidity (< 95%).
• The use of any unapproved accessory does
not guarantee the correct operation of
Chicco BebèCare.
• The smartphone must be turned on and
have a sufficient battery charge for the
period of use when paired with Chicco
BebèCare.
• During the first installation and each time
the family account is entered, an internet
connection must be available (mobile data
or WiFi network).
IMPORTANT:
• Chicco BebèCare only works together with
a smartphone that has the Chicco Bebè-
Care APP installed.
• If the smartphone is turned off, the Chicco
BebèCare system will not work.
• If the Bluetooth® is damaged, the Chicco
BebèCare system will not work.
• If there is no internet connection (mobile
data network or Wi-Fi), the alarm messages
will not be sent to the preset emergency
contacts.
• If the layer between the sensor and the
cover is moved and/or removed, the Chicco
BebèCare system will not work.
• If airplane mode is activated, the Chicco
BebèCare system will not work.
• The Chicco BebèCare APP may only be
downloaded from official stores.
• If there's no reception, Chicco BebèCare
activates the first-level Alarm correctly but
can't send alarm messages to the emergen-
cy numbers (Second-Level Alarm).
• Chicco BebèCare does not interfere with
the normal operation of the Bluetooth®
system that may be present in the car.
• Constant access to smartphone position
must be permitted through localisation
permissions in order for the Chicco BebèCa-
re app to support the full operation of
the system.
WARNING:
• Check to perform each time Chicco Bebè-
Care is used:
• Check that is functioning correctly as de-
scribed in paragraph 3.1 How to activate
Chicco BebèCare point d).
• The smartphone must be turned on and
have a sufficient battery charge for the
period of use when paired with Chicco
BebèCare.
• Bluetooth® must be active.
• "Airplane" mode must be deactivated.
• GPS must always be active.
• If two or more smartphones are used that
have the Chicco BebèCare APP installed,
it is necessary to identify which one is ef-
fectively connected to the car seat and
therefore must never be abandoned.
3.1 HOW TO ACTIVATE CHICCO BEBÈCARE
a) Download the Chicco BebèCare APP
The Chicco BebèCare APP must be down-
loaded. When accessing for the first time,
the APP will provide all the instructions to
follow to register the account and use Chicco
BebèCare.
b) Create the family account
A "family account" must be created with a
single password. This account will be the
only one that can be used by those who use
that specific car seat with Chicco BebèCare.
The password is shared with all users who
interact with the car seat on which Chicco
BebèCare is installed.
IMPORTANT: When creating the family
account, an internet connection must be
available (mobile data or WiFi network).
IMPORTANT: If the family password is
changed, the new password must be shared
with all the users who use the same family
account.
c) Enter the emergency numbers
The emergency numbers to which the alarm
messages will be sent must be entered upon
initial access (second level - see paragraph
3.2 How Chicco BebèCare functions) con-
taining the data needed to geolocate the
area where the baby is located.
A minimum of 1 to a maximum of 5 emer-
gency numbers must be entered.
The emergency numbers must be selected
from the contacts in your smartphone and
