Gib Adjustment: If the slide has excessive movement
or shows wear, the adjustable gib may need to be
adjusted. Slightly loosen the five gib screws (see
Figure 19). Use a ratchet wrench to turn the feed
screw while lightly tightening the four gib setscrews.
When the slide feels snug and the feed screw still turns
easily, tighten the five gib screws.

Feed Screw: If the surface finish is not consistent,
check the feed screw and feed nut for uneven or
excessive wear. Replace if necessary.
