The feed screw should also be periodically lubricated
with a multipurpose bearing grease. Lubricate the gib
surfaces with anti-seize (see Figure 17).

Adjustments
If the QuickFace is not providing the surface finishes
that are required, check the following:
Mandrel Bearings: If the mandrel feels loose inside
housing, the mandrel bearings need to be tightened.
Remove the housing cap by removing the two housing
capscrews (see Figure 18). Straighten the locking tab
on the lock washer and lightly tighten the locknut.
Tighten the locknut until the slop is removed. Do not
overtighten the locknut or the QuickFace will be hard
to turn.

Align the locking tab of the lock washer with the locknut
notch. Bend the locking tab to secure the locknut
in place. Install the housing cap, making sure not to
damage the oil seal in the cap. Tighten the capscrews.
