Do not insert the plug of the electrode cable into an Ac power

Place electrode pads on skin
Apply electrode pads to the area where the pain is felt (refer to
Annex A: placement of electrodes). Before applying electrodes,

be sure the skin surface over which electrode pads are placed is
thoroughly clean and dry. Make sure the electrode pads

are pressed firmly to the skin and make good contact
between the skin and the electrode pads.

Caution:
1. Before applying the electrode pads to the body, ensure the skin

surface is clean and free from lotions or moisturizers.
2. Do not switch the device on when self-adhesive electrode pads
are not positioned on the body.

3. Never remove the pads from the skin whilst the device is still
switched on.

4. For hygiene reasons we recommend that the electrode pads are
replaced every 30 days.
5. Please make sure the device is completely turned off before

connecting.
6. It is recommended that, at minimum, 40mm x 40mm self-adhering
AR
based, square electrodes are used at the treatment area.
7. For hygienic reasons, each patient should use their own set of
electrodes.
Turn the device on:

Safety cover: The controls for pulse width, pulse frequency, mode
selection and modulation selection are protected by a safety cover.
Press the cover (K) in the top middle in order to push it downwards.
Intensity: The intensity regulators (B) are to be found on the upper
side of the unit and are used to set the intensity of stimulation. They
are also used to switch the unit on and off.
Mode: The mode selector (E) is used to set the type of treatment.
The three available modes are: burst stimulation [Burst] (B), continu-
ous stimulation [continuous] (C) and modulated stimulation [Modu-
lated] (M).
Pulse width (µs): The control knob (D) regulates the pulse width
(= the duration of individual impulses) for both channels.
Pulse frequency (Hz): The pulse frequency knob (F) regulates
the number of pulses per second for both channels.
Timer: With the aid of the timer control (G), you can set the du-
ration of TENS treatment. There are three possible settings: 15, 30
minutes and c (continuous). Use the switch to select the desired set-
ting.
