FR3 PADS SENTRY
FOR HEARTSTART SMART PADS III
DESCRIPTION AND INTENDED USE
The FR3 Pads Sentry [REF: 989803150011] for
HeartStart SMART Pads III is designed for use with a
Philips FR3 System Case or in the FR3 bottom case
insert if used in another case. Philips does not
recommend using the Pads Sentry without the case
insert.
The Pads Sentry fits into the case insert and is
designed to shield and secure a set of HeartStart
SMART Pads III pre-connected to a HeartStart FR3
Philips model 861388 or 861389 automated external
defibrillator only. The Pads Sentry provides a
mechanism that allows the pre-connected pads to be
tested during each FR3 self-test.
NOTE: The Pads Sentry can also be used with
HeartStart Training Pads III during training.
However, be sure to replace the training pads
with SMART Pads III before returning the FR3 to
service.
INSTALLATION
Position the Pads Sentry over the corresponding
compartment in the bottom case insert and install it
as follows:
1. Fit the tab at the closed end of the Pads Sentry
into the corresponding socket inside the front of
the compartment.
