Once the test has concluded turn the rectifier off and disconnect the cables from the terminals of the battery.
Test of an alternator
The rectifier permits to test batteries. The mode is available solely for batteries whose rated voltage is 12 V or 24 V.
Make sure the current and voltage selector is set to „OFF".
Connect the eye clamps to the terminals of the rectifier placed at the back of the housing. Pay attention to the correct colours.
Tighten the screws of the terminals.
Connect the terminals the rectifier to the terminals of the battery, and make sure the terminal of the rectifier marked with a „+" is
connected to the terminal of the battery marked with a „+", and the terminal of the rectifier marked with a „-" is connected to the
terminal of the battery marked with a „-".
It is not required to connect the plug of the power supply cable to the socket of the power supply network.
Push the „Alternator test" button and start the engine, maintaining the engine speed at 2000 rpm for a minute. The rectifier will
record the highest voltage value, displaying it for a minute. Compare the displayed value against the following table.
Indication for 12 V batteries
< 14.0 V
14.1 – 15.0 V
> 15.1 V
Attention! The voltage values may differ and depend on the type of vehicle. Get acquainted with the documentation of the vehi-
cle.
Once the test has concluded turn the rectifier off and disconnect the cables from the terminals of the battery.

MAINTENANCE OF THE DEVICE

The device does not require any special maintenance. A dirty housing should be cleaned with a soft cloth or with a compressed
air jet, whose pressure must not exceed 0.3 MPa.
Check the conditions of the terminals of the conductors before and after each use. Remove any signs of corrosion, which might
disturb the flow of the electric current. Avoid contamination of the terminals with the electrolyte from the accumulator, since it would
accelerate the process of corrosion.
The device should be stored in a dry place, away from unauthorised persons, particularly children. Make sure the cables and
conductors are not damaged during storage.
