Intended purpose

The textile compressive JuzoPro Patella Xtec Plus knee
orthosis gives the patella gentle guidance using a
silicone pressure pad. Additional adjustable tensioning
elements are intended to exert a positive influence on
the path of the patella.
Individual parts (components) of the
JuzoPro Patella Xtec Plus: Knee support (a), Guidance
pad (b), Patellar tendon strap (c).
This is how to put on your
JuzoPro Patella Xtec Plus correctly:
1. Pull the knee orthosis over your forefoot up to the
right place on your knee.
2. Then position the knee orthosis so that the patella
(kneecap) is enclosed by the patella pad.
3. You can strengthen the effect on the patella by
individually adjusting the strap fastening. Please do
this when bending the knee slightly.
The orthosis fits properly when it surrounds the knee
without applying too much (painful) pressure.
You can re-adjust the orthosis by repeating step 3 at
any time.
Modification of the JuzoPro Patella Xtec Plus
to suit treatment
(only in consultation with your doctor)
4. To dismantle the JuzoPro Patella Xtec Plus, you have
to turn the knee orthosis inside out (reverse it).
5. Release the guidance pad from the touch fastener.
6. Then fasten the guidance pad to the patellar tendon
strap so that the outside edges line up.
How to put on your JuzoFlex Patella Xtra
correctly:
1. Pull the patellar tendon strap over your forefoot
and ankle and up to the right place. Alternatively,
you can open up one side of the touch fastener
completely and put on the strap as described in step
2 (positioning).
2. You can then position the patellar tendon strap
directly below the patella (kneecap).
3. You can adjust the patellar tendon strap by simply
pulling it with the help of the cords.
The patellar tendon strap fits correctly when it encloses
the patellar tendon and the back of the knee below the
kneecap without applying too much (painful) pressure.
Please note:
Only wear your orthosis when prescribed by your
physician. Medical aids should only be dispensed by
suitably trained staff of a medical products supplier. The
effectiveness of the orthosis can only be realised if it
is applied correctly. The orthosis is largely resistant to
oils, ointments, skin moisture and other environmental
influences. Certain combinations may negatively impact
on the durability of the fabric. We therefore recommend
that it gets examined regularly by the medical products
supplier. Should the product become damaged, please
consult your specialist supplier. Do not repair the
orthosis yourself – this could compromise its quality and
medical efficacy. For hygienic reasons, the orthosis is not
suitable for treating more than one patient.
Washing and care instructions
Please note the care instructions on the textile label on
your orthosis. Please remove the guidance pad, close
the touch fastener and wash the orthosis on a gentle or
delicate wash cycle at approx. 30 °C. Wash the orthosis
separately when washing for the first time (it may lose
colour). When hand washing, please rinse the orthosis
well and leave it to dry - lying down if possible - at
room temperature. Do not wring it out. We recommend
using the gentle Juzo special detergent for this. You
can reduce the drying time by placing the orthosis on
a thick towel, rolling the towel up tightly and firmly
pressing out excess moisture. Do not leave the product
in the towel and do not dry it on a radiator or in the
sun. Replace the guidance pad in the orthosis only
once the orthosis is completely dry. This product is not
suitable for dry cleaning. The orthosis is not suitable
for tumble drying. You can wash the patellar tendon
strap by hand.
