Intended purpose

The JuzoPro Immo splints stabilise the knee joint using
rigid, padded guidance splints that are joined together
with textile straps and a textile surface in a way that
allows for adaptability. These splints are placed on
the sides of the joint. The degree of the extension and
flexion movement, i.e. how much the knee can be bent
or extended, can be adjusted.
This is how to put on your JuzoPro Immo
correctly:
1. Open all the straps and fold open the orthosis. You
should now point the wide end, which covers the
thigh, in your direction.
2. Only for JuzoPro Immo 20°: Take the enclosed pop-
liteal pad and attach it, with the lower edge aligned
crosswise, to the hook and loop fastener provided
in the middle of the orthosis (Fig. 1).
3. Place your leg in the orthosis in such a way that the
hollow of your knee rests in the center of or, in the
case of JuzoPro Immo 20°, on top of the popliteal
pad (Fig. 2).
4. Fold the two padded wings around your leg. Your
kneecap should now be visible in the center of the
opening provided for it.
5. Now close the straps (sequence: from
the knee in the direction of your hip and then from
the knee in the direction of your ankle) by passing
the straps over the leg, through the plastic buckles
and then back again (Figs. 3 + 4).
The correct fit of the JuzoPro Immo is assured when it
encloses the leg tightly but does so without exerting
a too strong (painful) pressure. The orthosis must
immobilize the leg fully.
The JuzoPro Immo can be readjusted at any time by
repeating step 5.
Please note:
Only wear your orthosis when prescribed by your
physician. Medical aids should only be dispensed by
suitably trained staff of a medical products supplier.
The effectiveness of the orthosis can only be realised
if it is applied correctly. The orthosis is largely
resistant to oils, ointments, skin moisture and other
environmental influences. Certain combinations may
negatively impact on the durability of the fabric. We
therefore recommend that it gets examined regularly
by the medical products supplier. Should the product
become damaged, please consult your specialist
supplier. Do not repair the orthosis yourself – this
could compromise its quality and medical efficacy.
For hygienic reasons, the orthosis is not suitable for
treating more than one patient.
Washing and care instructions
Please observe the care instructions on the textile la-
bel attached to your JuzoPro Immo. Please remove the
four aluminum splints from their respective pockets
(closed on the thigh side by means of hook and loop
fasteners) and close the pockets again. Open all the
straps and pull them out of the buckles. Now attach
the velcro pad back onto the fleece of the belt to en-
sure that the orthosis material is not damaged during
washing. The orthosis material and popliteal pad (only
present for JuzoPro Immo 20°) should be washed by
hand at approx. 30 °C using a laundry detergent for
delicate fabrics. We recommend using the mild Juzo
Special Detergent. Wash the JuzoPro Immo orthosis
separately the first time (possibility of bleeding).
Afterwards please rinse out the pad material well
and allow it to dry in a free-hanging position at room
temperature; do not wring it out To reduce the drying
time, before hanging up the pad you can place it on a
thick terry towel, roll it up tightly and squeeze it firmly.
Do not leave it in the towel and do not place it on a
heater or in the sun to dry. Do not insert the aluminum
splints back into the pockets and attach the popliteal
pad (only for JuzoPro Immo 20°) until the padding
material is completely dry. This Juzo product must not
be cleaned chemically.

Storage information

Store in a dry place and protect from sunlight.
Notes for the orthopaedic technician
Only for JuzoPro Immo 20°: Before adjusting the
splints, please insert the supplied popliteal pad in a
lateral orientation and centered in the location pro-
vided for it (black square fleece). The four stabilizing
rods have been anatomically pre-shaped. If necessary
(e. g. to make adjustments or when the indication
requires) you can individually remove them from the
pockets. To do so, open the pockets at the top end of
the splints. The pads for the splints are constructed
from three parts that are connected by means of hook
and loop fasteners. To make adjustments for the leg
circumference, open the pad fasteners but leave the
splint straps closed while doing so. Now center the
middle part of the pad under the patient's leg (only
for JuzoPro Immo 20°) and wrap the two wing parts
around the top of the leg. To make the JuzoPro Immo
easier for the patient to apply and use, it is possible to
shorten the splint straps to the actual required length.
Indications
Pre and postoperative immobilisation after PCL rup-
tures/reconstruction and ligament injuries, post-op-
erative immobilisation, for complete immobilisation
of the joint, immobilisation after patellar dislocation,
post-traumatic immobilisation.
Contraindications
If the following symptoms exist, the orthosis should
only be worn after consultation with the physician:
lymph drainage disorders, arterial flow impairment,
post-thrombotic syndromes, skin disorders or skin
