6.5.2 If you know time and channel
1. Click "Add".
2. Name the recording in the "Task Name" field.
3. Select the channel in the "Channel" menu.
4. Select how frequently you want the recording
to take place in the "Type" menu. If, for
example, it is a TV series which is broadcast
at the same time every week, select the day
of the week when the TV series is transmitted.
5. Select start date in the "Start date" field.
6. Select start time in the "Start time" field.
7. Select duration in minutes in the "Duration"
field.
8. Click "OK".
NOTE: Other settings in this tab cannot be
selected as they only concern analogue TV
reception.
6.6 Advanced
1. Select the desired file format for snapshots in
the "File format" menu.
2. Select number of picture views for "Channel
surfing". You can start "Channel surfing" at
any time during a TV playback by right-clicking
in the playback window and selecting "Channel
surfing". The TV image will be split so you
can watch several channels at once in small
windows.
3. Select "Always on top", if you want the Presto!
PVR window to be in front of other open
applications.
4. Select "During recording / time shifting, if
there is already a scheduled setting, the
scheduled recording will take priority", if a
scheduled recording must start whether or
not another recording has already started.
5. Under "On startup, display in", you can choose
between window or full-screen view when
Presto! PVR starts.
6.7 Skin
Click the drop-down menu to select the
appearance of the control window.
6.8 Live Update
Click the "Live Update" button to sign up with
the news service from NewSoft, the company
which developed Presto! PVR.
7 EPG
With the EPG ("Electronic Program Guide")
function, you can see programme lists and you
can programme recordings.
1. Click the "EPG" button (Button no. 12, see
Figure 1) in the control window.
2. Select the desired channel under "Channel".
In the window below you will see the
programme list for the selected channel. Select
a programme to see the programme
description in the "Description" window.
3. Click "Add to schedule" to programme a
recording. Follow the instructions for this in
section 6.5.2.
4. Click "Refresh" to update the programme list.
8 Teletext
Click the "Teletext" button (Button no. 14, see
Figure 1) in the control window to open teletext.
Use the field to the right to enter the page number
and the buttons at the bottom to navigate.
