Maintenance and Cleaning

 Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
 For safe and proper working, always keep the
machine and ventilation slots clean.
 In extreme conditions, always use dust extrac-
tion as far as possible. Blow out ventilation
slots frequently and install a portable residual
current device (PRCD). When working metals,
conductive dust can settle in the interior of the
power tool. The total insulation of the power tool
can be impaired.
A blunt diamond cup wheel 14 can be reground by
briefly grinding abrasive material (e.g. lime-sand
brick).
Please store and handle the accessory(-ies) care-
fully.
If the replacement of the supply cord is necessary,
this has to be done by Berner or an authorized
Berner service agent in order to avoid a safety haz-
ard.
In all correspondence and spare parts orders,
please always include the 6-digit order number giv-
en on the nameplate of the machine.
Changing the Brush Collar (see figure C)
To ensure optimal dust extraction, change a worn
brush collar in good time.
Press (for example with a screwdriver) into both
openings 5 in the protective guard. You can re-
move both parts of the brush collar 4 from under
the power tool.
Carefully push the two new parts of the brush collar
4 to the stop into the brush guide. When inserting
the new brush collar, pay attention that the ends of
the brush collar are not positioned in one of the
openings of the brush guide.
