! prior to disposal protect battery terminals with
heavy tape to prevent short-circuit
- if you anticipate long periods of non-use for the tool, it
is best to unplug the charger from its power source
• Loading cartridges #
- open a standard cartridge with a utility knife
- mount the nozzle on top of the opened cartridge
- cut off at least 2 cm of the nozzle tip at a 45° angle, so
that the opening is large enough when using the
highest speed setting
- push switch A to the left
- push plunger B back to its starting position until it
snap-locks (no snap-locking results later on in
malfunctioning of the plunger)
- open cartridge cover C
- insert cartridge until its base reaches the back of
carriage frame D
- close cartridge cover C
• On/off $
- push switch A to the right to unlock trigger switch E
- switch on/off tool by pressing/releasing trigger switch
E
- the tool switches off automatically when the cartridge
is empty
! ensure that switch a is in the locking position
after each use %
• Variable speed ^
- with wheel F the sealant flow output can be adjusted
(6 positions)
- before starting a job, find the optimal speed by testing
out on spare material
! if the tool does not run with wheel F in position 1,
adjust the speed while pressing trigger switch e
2 until the optimal setting is found
• Applying sealant &
- ensure that the area to be sealed is clean and dry
(remove old sealant, if applicable)
- after pushing switch A to the right, press trigger switch
E to start the sealant flow output
- hold the tool at a slight angle and carefully move the
tool at an even pace along the gap/crack to be filled
while pressing trigger switch E
- ensure that the sealant comes in full contact with both
surfaces to be sealed
- release trigger switch E for ending the sealant flow
output
- to avoid spilling of sealant, push switch A to the left
immediately after releasing trigger switch E
- draw a moistened finger along the sealant flow after
applying and use a clean, damp cloth to remove any
excess sealant
! remove any residuary sealant from the cartridge
nozzle and carriage frame
• Electronic overload protection
Stops the motor automatically in case too much pressure
is applied on the cartridge thus preventing the tool and
cartridge from damage
- release trigger switch E
- allow the electronics to re-set for 5 seconds
- press trigger switch E
- if motor stops again, move wheel F to the middle
position, and press trigger switch E again
To avoid overload, always ensure that
- the nozzle tip is cut off at least 2 cm
- hardened material is removed from the nozzle
- the cartridge is not damaged or frozen
- the carriage frame is free of sealant
- the lowest possible speed setting is selected
• Troubleshooting
In case halfway the sealing job plunger B 2 stops
moving forward
- switch off the tool
- remove cartridge from carriage frame D 2
- push switch A 2 to the left
! push plunger B back to its starting position until
it snap-locks
- insert cartridge again
- push switch A to the right
- press trigger switch E 2 to continue the sealing job

maIntenanCe / serVICe

• Keep tool and charger clean
- clean charging contacts in charger with alcohol or
contact cleaner
! unplug charger from power source before
cleaning
• Keep carriage frame D 2 free from any residuary sealant
by using a clean, damp cloth
• If the tool/charger should fail despite the care taken in
manufacturing and testing procedures, repair should be
carried out by an after-sales service centre for SKIL
power tools
- send the tool or charger undismantled together with
proof of purchase to your dealer or the nearest SKIL
service station (addresses as well as the service
diagram of the tool are listed on www.skilmasters.com)
- in case of a defective charger send both charger and
battery to your dealer or the SKIL service station

• do not dispose of electric tools, accessories and
packaging together with household waste material
(only for EU countries)
- in observance of European Directive 2012/19/EC on
waste of electric and electronic equipment and its
implementation in accordance with national law,
electric tools that have reached the end of their life
must be collected separately and returned to an
environmentally compatible recycling facility
- symbol 9 will remind you of this when the need for
disposing occurs
