The child seat should be dismantled carefully in the following sequence:
- Adjust the headrest to the highest setting, lower the backrest to a
horizontal position and detach it by lifting it up (figure 1).
- Unhook the backrest upholstery (figure 11) starting at the bottom (1) and
then the top (2). Remove the polystyrene plus the cover.
The upholstery can be unhooked from the polystyrene.
- Unhook the nets on either side (figure 12). Remove both side-supports by
pressing in the snap-fastenings as indicated and then slide out the side-
supports sideways (figure 13).
The upholsteries can be removed by unzipping them (figure 14).
- The sleeve of the headrest can be removed (figure 16) by unhooking the
headrest upholstery next to the setting indicator (figure 15) and the safety
belt guide (figure 15.1).
- Adjust the seat to its foremost setting. Press the button on the inside of the
seat and slide the adjustable part completely out of the seat (figure 17).
The upholstery of the adjustable part can be unhooked when this part has
been removed from the seat (figure 18 and 19).
It will now be easy to remove the upholstery from the armrests (figure 20).
Refitting the upholstery takes place in the reverse sequence, (please note
that the left-hand parts of the seat are marked with an L, and the right parts
with an R, when viewed from the seated child's perspective):
Firstly, attach the upholstery for the arm rests of the seat to both sides
(figure 20).
The right-hand upholstery has a Bobobline label on the front (figure 21),
whilst the left-hand upholstery does not.
The upholstery for the adjustable part of the seat must be hooked onto the
plastic section on all sides.
This part of the seat can then be slid back into place again to the correct
setting. After adjusting, check that the seat is secure.
- The side-support upholsteries can be zipped up again.
- The side-supports must then be reattached. Make sure that the indications
correspond to the position on the seat. You will hear a click when the side-
support is properly assembled. Check that the side-support is secure both
below and above. Hook the net to the hooks on the backrest (figure 12).
- Hook the upholstery of the backrest over the polystyrene.
The polystyrene is the narrowest at the top.
Hook all the flaps to the protrusions in the polystyrene on the rear.
Position the backrest (plus upholstery) and attach first the top (2) and then
bottom (1) of the upholstery (figure 11).
- First slide the headrest upholstery over the polystyrene and then secure the
flaps near the belt guides. The hooks in the middle close to the height
indication should also be attached properly.
- The backrest can now be reattached to the seat (figure 1).
Some tips and warnings
- The Multibob is suitable for group 2 and 3, between 15 kg and 36 kg.
- Make sure that no part of the safety belt is twisted.
- Make sure that the Multibob is fitted in such a way that no parts of the seat
or the belt can become trapped in the door or the car seat adjustment
mechanism.
- Always use the normal three-point car safety belt to secure the child.
- Make sure that the safety belt fits the child's body snugly and runs over the
child's shoulder.
- It is dangerous to make any alterations or additions to the device without the
approval of competent authority.
- It is dangerous if the installation instructions, provided by the manufacturer,
are not followed closely.
- If the vehicle has stood in the sun for a longer period, the plastic parts of the
seat might be too hot for your child's skin.
- The child seat must not be used without the seat cover.
The seat cover is an integral part of the Multibob and absorbs some of the
energy released during impacts.
- The seat cover should not be replaced with any other than the one
recommended by the manufacturer, because the seat cover constitutes an
integral part of the restraint performance.
- The child seat should be replaced if the vehicle is involved in an accident.
Consult your dealer if in doubt.
- Luggage and other objects which may cause an injury during an accident
should be firmly secured.
- WARNING: Do not use any load bearing contact points other than those
described in the instructions and marked in the child restraint.
- The child shall do be left in the child restraint system unattended.
