torch trigger, the machine begins welding for the time set
on the knob. The torch trigger must be released and
pressed again in order to re-start the cycle.
2.2 CONTROLS ON THE WIRE FEEDER REAR PANEL
A - Gas hose fitting for extension gas hoses.
B - 10 pin connector (art. 1435) or 6 pin (art. 1436).
For connecting the 10 or 6 pin extension plug.
C - Socket for extension power supply plug.
D - Quick-fit hose connectors for connection to extension
water hoses.
Important: These connectors are colour-coded for safety.
Ensure that hose and connector colours match.

START-UP
The machine must be installed by skilled personnel. All con-
nections must be made in compliance with current regula-
tions and in full respect of safety laws (see standards CEI 26-
10 and CENELEC HD 427).
If the generator is manufactured by CEBORA, use the adap-
ter provided to connect the wire feeder to the generator.
If the generator is another brand, use the connectors provi-
ded to create an adapter; for electrical connections, see the
diagram included with these instructions.
A shunt, complete with connector, is also supplied along with
the wire feeder art. 1435. This allows the ampere gauge and
volt meter on the front panel to operate. To mount the shunt,
see the electrical diagram included with these instructions.
The wire leaving the shunt circuit (45), marked with the letter
A in the electrical diagram, must be connected to the negati-
ve pole of the generator. Normally the negative pole may be
found on the earth cable leaving the machine.
The shunt (45) must be connected in series to the positive
pole of the generator; specifically, the point marked C must be
connected to the positive pole of the rectifier, while point B
must be attached to the output adapter on the generator,
which must in turn be connected to the wire feeder (1435).
Assemble the welding torch on the central adapter (U).
Make sure that the wire diameter corresponds to the one indi-
cated on the wire feed roller, and load the wire reel. Make
sure that the welding wire passes through the groove in the
roller.
Before connecting the generator power cable, make sure that
the supply voltage corresponds to that of the welding machi-

ne, and that the earth socket functions properly.
Turn on the generator.
Remove the tapered gas nozzle.
Unscrew the contact tip.
Press the torch trigger and release it only when the welding
wire comes out.
Welding wire can cause puncture wounds.
Never aim the torch at parts of the body when loading the
welding wire.
Screw the contact tip back on, making sure that the hole dia-
meter corresponds to the wire used.
Slide the tapered gas welding nozzle back on.

rent of 450 A, with a duty cycle of 50%.
The wire feeder art. 1436 is suitable for feeding solid wire
having a maximum diameter of 1.2 mm, and a maximum cur-
rent of 350 A, with a duty cycle of 35%.
It is important to cut off power to the wire feeder before
checking or servicing any of its internal parts.

ment is available close to welding area.
• Remove all flammable and combustible material from the
welding area and its surrounding (32 ft minimum).
• Do not weld containers of combustible or flammable mate-
rial, even when empty. These must be carefully cleaned befo-
re being welded.
• Allow the welded material to cool down before touching it or
putting it in contact with combustible or flammable material.
• Do not weld parts with hollow spaces, containing flamma-
bles.
• Do not work under conditions with high concentrations of
combustible vapours, gases, or flammable dust.
• Always check the work area half an hour after welding so
as to make sure that no fire has started.
