Safety Information

The safety notes provided in this manual are an integral part of those given in the Instruction Manual. Therefore, before
working on the machine, please read the section on safety instructions in the above manual.
Always disconnect the power cord from the mains, and wait (1 minute) for the internal capacitors to discharge before
accessing the interior of the equipment.
As some internal parts, such as terminals and heatsinks, might be connected to mains potentials or in any case be
dangerous, never operate the equipment without protective covers, unless absolutely necessary.
In the latter case use special precautions, such as wearing insulating footwear and gloves, and working in areas and
wearing clothing that are perfectly dry.

DESCRIPTION OF THE SYSTEM

21
Introduction
The Synstar 270 T SRS EDITION system is designed for synergic MIG/MAG and pulsed synergic MIG/MAG welding
using inverter technology.
The system consists of an electronic power source, with a built-in wire feed unit and a series of accessories for
adapting to different uses (see list in the Sales Catalogue).
The power source is controlled by microprocessor circuits that manage the welding system's operating functions and
interface with the operator.
Interface with the operator is via a control panel located on the front of the power source.
The work programs correspond to pre-programmed synergic curves that can be called up from a control panel.
22

Technical specifications

To verify the technical specifications, see the machine plate, power source Instruction Manual, and Sales Catalogue.
23

Power source

Item No 564 is a direct voltage, current controlled power source consisting of a three phase bridge rectifier, a DC/AC
