Familiarise yourself with the general information and safety guidelines located at the front of this manual.
Check:
Gas cylinder is filled
The end of the burner inlet tube is properly located over the valve orifice
The burner control is in 'OFF' position
Ensure cylinder valve in its full off position.
Check cylinder valve features to ensure it has proper mating threads to those of the regulator.
Ensure burner control is in the 'OFF' position.
Inspect valve connections port and regulator assembly. Look for any damage or debris. Remove
any debris. Inspect hose for damage. Never attempt to use damaged or blocked equipment.
When connecting regulator assembly to the cylinder valve and the barbecue, tighten nut to a positive
stop by hand or spanner depending on the type of fitting.
Open cylinder valve fully. Use a soapy water solution to check all connections for leaks before
attempting to light barbecue, If a leak is found, turn cylinder valve off and do not use barbecue until
repairs can be made by a local LP gas dealer.
CAUTION: When the appliance is not in use, the gas must be turned of at the supply cylinder.
Disconnecting
Ensure the burner control is
n the 'OFF' position.
Ensure gas cylinder valve is
in its full off position.
Detach the regulator
assembly from gas cylinder valve.
Lighting Procedure
Burner Operation & Ignition System check
o
With cylinder valve in OFF position push and turn the control knob anti-clockwise until the control
clicks.
o
Repeat action and check for sparking at the burner.
o
If spark is not evident at the burner ignition point, check that the ignition lead is firmly attached to the
control and sparker tip.
o
With sparking established turn the control knob to the OFF position, then turn on the cylinder valve.
Now push and turn control knob anti-clockwise ensuring that the control clicks and there is a spark at
the burner.
o
Upon first assembly the gas line and burner will be full of air. In order for the burner to light properly
the lines must fill with gas. It may require several attempts at lighting the burner before you are
successful.
o
If the burner fails to light after several attempts turn off gas supply at cylinder and inspect for
obstructions to gas flow.
Note: If for some reason, ignitor fails to produce
a spark at the electrode, barbecue can be lit by a
match. Insert match into match holder which is
suspended by a chain at front of barbecue. With
hood open insert lighted match into hole in front
