6. Cleaning and maintenance
If necessary, the box spring metal
frame can be cleaned using a soft
cloth. Do not use scouring agents/
abrasives or other detergents.

using a lot of water, but should be
cleaned using a damp cloth. Do not
beat or vacuum clean the box spring,
but use a soft brush instead.
For electrically adjustable box spring
please note:
Before starting to clean the AVS
boxspring, take the plug out of the
socket. Do not plug it in again while the
box spring is still damp.
You should ensure that adequate
uninterrupted
place. We therefore advise you not to fit
a mattress cover between the mattress
and box spring.
If the (insert) box spring is fitted to a
box bed, then it should offer sufficient
air circulation to ensure that ventilation
is not hampered.
The box spring legs can be extended.
This means that the maximum distance
from the underside of the box spring to
the ground can be 19 cm.
Examine the AVS box spring frequently
for signs of wear or damage. If there
are such signs or if the appliance has
been misused, return it to the supplier
prior to any further use.

7. Disposal of
packaging and product
Auping continually invests in cleaner
production processes, and attempts to
minimise its environmental burden
through the greatest possible use of
durable materials. Its AVS box springs
are
manufactured
materials.
These AVS box springs are also
manufactured in such a way that no
unnecessary waste is produced. The
box spring frames are made of steel,
which is suitable for recycling.
For adjustable AVS box springs
please note:
- Make sure that the box spring cannot
fall open during transportation. Secure
the base frame and upper frame to
one another, using tensioning straps if
necessary.
- The head support can drop down
when the motor on the head side of
the bed is being dismantled.
Safe waste disposal
The packaging is made up of cardboard
and polyethylene film (PE). Please
dispose of these materials in a
responsible way in accordance with the
regulations of your local authority.
