• Use a screwdriver to remove the five screws that fasten the cover of the base (fig.15).
• Pass the three pins, corresponding to the sections of the harness and the buckle, through
the frame and the upholstery (fig.16).
• Put the cover of the base back on and fasten it with the 5 screws.
• Locate the distribution plate, found on the back of the backrest, release the two sections
of the harness and pass them through the slots in the frame and the upholstery (fig.17).
• Pull the guide found on the backrest, and release the protector pads (fig.17). Pass the
strap for both of them through the slots in the frame and the upholstery.
• If you need to fit the harness again, follow the steps above in reverse.
NOTE: Keep each part of the harness, in case you need to fit it again in the future.
WARNING: When fitting the harness and protector pads, make sure that the straps are
not twisted.
GROUP ll/lll (15 – 36 kg)
WARNING: Before using the MULTI FIX as group ll/lll (from 15 to 36 kg), you need to
remove the safety harness. To do this consult the corresponding section.
NOTE: When you are going to use the MULTI FIX as group ll/lll, you have the option of
whether or not to fasten the ISOFIX connectors to the vehicle seat.
• If you are not going to use the ISOFIX connectors of the MULTI FIX, you need to cover
them up as much as possible. To do this lift the levers found under the upholstery, and
press the connectors into the base (fig.18). Otherwise, read the following steps.
• Place the headrest of the MULTI FIX in its highest position.
• Position the MULTI FIX on the vehicle seat, facing forwards (fig.19).
• Fit the backrest of the safety seat against the backrest of the vehicle seat, pressing the
front part of the MULTI FIX against the vehicle seat.
• Place the child in the MULTI FIX.
• Take hold of the buckle of the car seat belt. Pass the diagonal section through the guide
(coloured red) found on the headrest, and the abdominal section through the two guides
(marked red) on the sides (fig.20).
• Fasten the seat belt buckle. Adjust the height of the headrest so that the diagonal section
of the car seat belt passes over the child's chest, not his neck. And make sure the
abdominal section passes over the child's legs.
