14. Install radiator drain cock. First take some clean coolant and dampen the drain cock o-ring before
installing. Then install drain cock (1) and tighten to 2 N-m (18 lb in).
15. Refill the coolant system.
1. Use a 40/60 mixture of 40% DEX-COOL antifreeze and 60% clean drinkable water. Slowly fill the
surge tank (1) with a 40/60 coolant mixture until the coolant level reaches the base of the surge tank
fill neck.
Note: Monitor the surge tank coolant level closely. The surge tank coolant level
will begin to decrease once the engine is started.
