2. Start the engine and allow to the engine to idle. Allow the engine to idle for approximately 4 minutes.
Slowly fill the coolant mixture until the level stabilizes at the base of the surge tank fill neck. Run
the engine between 2,000–2,500 RPM for approximately 2 minutes. Allow engine to idle and add
approximately 1 liter (1.1 quarts) of coolant to the surge tank.
•
Install the coolant pressure cap.
•
Shut the engine OFF.
•
Allow the engine to cool.
•
Top off the coolant as necessary.
•
Inspect the concentration of the engine coolant using the J 26568 Coolant and Battery Fluid Tester.
•
Rinse away any excess coolant from the engine and the engine compartment.
•
Inspect the cooling system for leaks.
16. Reintall the front wheels liners- Install the front wheelhouse liner (2) into position with the retainers (1).
17. Install the front wheelhouse liner fasteners (1) and tighten to 9 N-m (80 lb in). Install the front wheelhouse
liner fasteners (3) and tighten to 2.5 N-m (22 lb in). Install the front wheelhouse liner fasteners (6) and
tighten to 2.5 N-m (22 lb in). Install the front wheel opening rear molding (4) and tighten the fastener (5) to
9 N-m (80 lb in).
