A gap of at least 50 centimetres should be left so that it is possible to access the electrical
components, thereby facilitating maintenance work.

Hydraulic connection

Before performing hydraulic connection, the system must be cleaned thoroughly
in order to eliminate any residue or dirt which could compromise the efficient and
correct operation of the water heater.
Connect the water heater inlet and outlet to pipes or pipe fittings which are resistant to
the operating pressure and temperature of the hot water, which could at times reach –
and even exceed - 80°C. We advise against the use of materials which cannot withstand
such high temperatures.
We recommend that electrical insulation of the appliance from the water mains is performed
using dielectric joints.
The water heater must be assembled with a pressure safety device connected to the cold
water pipe, which must have a maximum calibration equal to the maximum operating
pressure indicated on the data plate; it must also comply with all current national legislation.
WARNING! In all nations which have implemented European regulation EN 1487:2000,
the pressure safety device supplied with the product does not comply with national
legislation. According to this regulation, the device must have a maximum pressure
of 0.7Mpa (7 bar) and include the following components at the very least:
- a cut-off valve;
- a non-return valve;
- a device used to monitor and control the non-return valve;
- a safety valve;
- a water pressure shut-off device.
The device relief must be connected to an outlet pipe which is tilted downwards and which
has a diameter at least identical to that of the appliance connection. Use a funnel to create
an air gap of at least 20 mm (exposed to the atmosphere), thereby enabling visual checks
to be performed so that no personal injury, property damage or damage to animals may
occur in the event of safety device enabling. The manufacturer shall not be held responsible
for any such damage.
The relief pipe of the pressure safety device must also be installed in a place where it will
be protected from ice.
During the heating phase, some water may trickle from the tap. This is normal and not a
cause for concern.
If a pressure safety device which does not comply with EN 1487:2000 is installed, the
following installation procedure must be implemented.
Screw a "T" fitting onto the appliance water inlet pipe (this can be identified by its small
BLUE collar). Screw a tap for the emptying of the water heater onto one side of this fitting
(B fig. 3). It should only be possible to operate the tap using a tool. The pressure safety
device or safety assembly should then be fitted on the other side (A fig. 3).
Connect it to the cold water mains supply using a flexible hose. A water discharge pipe
must be provided and fitted to the outlet in case the emptying tap is opened (C fig. 3).
When screwing in the pressure safety device, do not over tighten and do not tamper with
it.
If the network pressure is at a level which is approaching the maximum operating pressure,
a pressure reducer must be applied as far as possible from the appliance.
If the water systems have the following features:
- small-size tubes;
- taps with ceramic plates;
it is necessary to install pressure stabilisers, ram stabilisers or an expansion vessel suitable
for use in the installation, as close as possible to the taps.
The operating life of the water heater depends on the efficient and correct operation of
the galvanic anti-corrosion system; therefore it cannot be used when the water hardness
