adjust accordingly using the appropriate feet (Fig. 12).
An installation template is included on the packaging box to facilitate the correct installation of the product.
Note: for the NUOS 120 model, use the L-shaped rawlplugs on the lower bracket of the product.
7.3 Air supply connection
There are two connections for the air aspiration and
exhaust on the rear side of the appliance (Fig. 9). If the
water heater is intended to function by externally expelling
(or in another room) the air treated by the heat pump,
appropriate kits that are supplied on request can be
used. In this event, a hole must first be drilled into the
wall (Fig. 12) and the relative components must be
assembled according to the instructions supplied with
the kit. Refer to Fig. 13, 14 and 15 for the various types
of installation.
The total static pressure loss due to installation is
calculated by adding the loss of the single installed
components; this sum must be lower or equal than the
static pressure of the fan which is equal to 80 Pa (refer
to the technical data table).
7.4 Hydraulic connection
Connect the water heater inlet and outlet to pipes or pipe fittings that can withstand the operating pressure and
temperature of the hot water, that may normally reach 65°C. It is not advisable to use materials that cannot withstand
such temperatures.
Screw a "T" fitting onto the appliance's water inlet pipe (identified by its small blue collar) as shown in Fig. 16. Onto
one side of this pipe fitting, screw a tap (B) for draining water (it can be turned only with the aid of a tool) and screw
the pressure safety device (A) onto the other side of the pipe fitting.
WARNING! In those countries that have introduced the European EN 1487:2000 standard into their laws, the
pressure safety device provided with this product does not guarantee conformity to national regulations.
According to this regulation, the device must have a maximum pressure of 0.7 Mpa (7 bar) and must at least
include the following components: a cut-off valve, a non-return valve, a control mechanism for the non-return
valve, a safety valve, a water pressure shut-off device.
The device's relief outlet must be connected to a relief pipe with a diameter no less than that of the appliance's
connection, with the aid of a funnel creating an air gap of at least 20 mm to allow for visual inspection; this is to prevent
any harm to persons and animals or damage to objects, should the device activate, for which the manufacturer will
not be held liable. Use a flexible pipe to connect the pressure safety device inlet to the cold water system pipe, using
a cut-off valve if necessary (D). A water discharge pipe must be fitted to the outlet in case the drainage tap is opened
(C).
