9.4.1 Setting on the test bench
The basic functions of the test bench can be set with the "Settings" menu item.
You can go to the Settings menu by pressing the rotary knob in the "Settings" item on display no. 5.
Language: you can switch between German and English here.
Meas. mode: the measuring mode of the electric variables can be defined here. Either symmetrical three-
phase, single-phase or direct voltage measurement can be selected. In PC mode, this value is overwritten by
the software.
AO0 & AO1: the respective values for the analog outputs can be set here. The respective value set
corresponds to the value for 10 V output voltage. With 10 V = 4000 rpm, this means the rotational speed of
the test specimen is 2000 rpm if AO0 -> 5 V is displayed for the output.
The symbol at the top left of the display represents the measuring mode currently set. This and how to
connect the correct one are described in section 7.2
9.4.2 Torque Control operating mode
How to start the "Torque Control" measurement
Assuming you wish to select Torque Control operating mode (= torque specification) and specify 0.8 Nm.
1. Select:
Set the arrow to the "Torque control" line by turning the rotary knob and then press the rotary knob to
acknowledge your selection.
2. Set/start:
Confirm the "enabling" of the test bench by pressing the rotary knob and the respective field for the
torque to be set will be displayed inversely.
Switch on the test specimen. Use the rotary knob to set the value 0.8 Nm. The test specimen is now
subjected to a torque of 0.8 Nm.
If the test specimen is switched off or overridden, the test bench will readjust the missing load and thus
drive the test specimen to the rotational speed limit.
How to stop the measurement
1. Press the rotary knob.
Display no. 2 is displayed and the measurement is stopped.
