7/64" (3mm), 3/16" (5mm) Drill Bit/Drill
T20/T15 TORX Driver
Clean Cloth/Rag
GM vehicle care super lube with PTFE
Installation Procedure
1. Clean and degrease body panel where splash guards are
to be located.
2. Using alcohol wipes or 50% alcohol and water, clean area
to be taped.
3. Parts and vehicle temperature must be between 61°F &
86°F (16°C & 31°C).
4. Remove existing torx head screws, locations A and B. See
Figure 1.
5. Fold tape liner over so that it is facing outward then mount
splash guard and reinstall existing screws in locations
A and B while holding part up and into front panel and
tighten. See Figure 1.
6. While holding splash guard firmly against front panel using
part as a template, drill 7/64" (3mm) hole in locations C.
Then apply GM vehicle care super lube with PTFE to
location C. See Figure 1 & 2.
7. While holding splash guard firmly against panel install
supplied M4.2 screw in location C as a taping screw and
tighten. See figure 1 & 2.
8. While holding splash guard firmly to liner at location D, use
part as a template, drill 3/16" (5mm) hole. See Figure 1 & 3.
9. While holding splash guard firmly to liner. Install supplied
M4.2 screw and M4.2 U-NUT as a nut and tighten. See
Figure 1 & 3.
10. Push spalsh guard forward and pull tape liner off, while
holding splash guard firmly against rear panel apply 20-30
pounds of pressure along tape length to ensure contact.
See Figure 1.
11. Repeat procedure for other side.
12. Guards can be cleaned with any commercially available
cleaner.
