Existing RPO Running Board Removal Procedure
1. If vehicle has no assist steps skip this section and go to
Tubular Assist Step Installation Procedure.
2. Remove and save existing front fender bolts (Item 6) from
both passenger and driver sides. See Figure 1 Detail A.

3. Remove and discard the four M8 bolts (Item 4) from the
bottom of the assist steps going into the bottom of the
rocker panels for both passenger and driver sides. See
Figure 1 Detail B.
4. Loosen but don't remove the M8 nuts (Item 5) on the
threaded studs (Item 7) in positions 1 and 4. Some vehicles
may have M8 bolts instead of studs and nuts. See Figure 1
Detail B.
5. Remove and discard the two remaining M8 bolts (Item 4) in
positions 2 and 3.
6. Remove and save the nuts from positions 1 and 4 and
remove assist steps from vehicle.
7. Reinstall existing front fender bolts. Torque to 25Nm.
