6. Install Hitch & bumper beam:
2011 – 2017 models, apply silicone sealant (not provided) to hitch bracket mounting surfaces. See Figure 6. Place foam gasket between hitch and aluminum
bumper beam.
Raise hitch and bumper beam into position aligning holes with studs in end panel. See Figure 1. Loosely reinstall the existing (4) M12 hex flange nuts onto the studs
in end panel. Reattach the exhaust hangers to the bottom of bumper beam using the (2) hex nuts removed in step 5.
7. Tighten all M12 hex flange nuts with torque wrench to 86 Lb.-Ft. (116 N*M)
Tighten exhaust hanger hex flange nuts with torque wrench to 25 Lb.-Ft. (34 N*M)
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
