- Use clamps or another practi-
cal way to secure and support
the workpiece to a stable
platform. Holding the workpiece
by hand or against your body
leaves it unstable and may lead
to loss control.
SAFETY RULES FOR LASER
LIGHTS
- The laser light used is Class
2 with maximum 1mW power
and 650nm wavelength. These
lasers do not normally present
optical hazard, although staring
at the beam may cause flash
blindness.
- WARNING: Do not stare directly
at the laser beam. A hazard may
exist if you deliberatedly stare
into the beam, please observe
all safety rules as follows.
- The laser shall be used and
maintained in accordance with
manufacturer's instructions,
- Never aim the beam at any
person or an object other than
the workpiece.
- Do not deliberately aim the
beam at personnel and ensure
that it is not directed towards the
eye of a person.
- Always ensure the laser beam is
aimed at a sturdy workpiece wi-
thout reflective surfaces. Bright
shiny reflective sheetsteel or the
like is not suitable for laser use
as the reflective surface could
direct the beam back at the
operator.
- Always switch off the laser when
not used.
ADDITIONAL SAFETY WAR-
NINGS
- CAUTION: In order to prevent
overheating do not cover the
appliance.
- Ensure that neither the air
access nor exit become either
totally or partially covered by
drapery, clothing, etc., as this
increases the risk of fire.
- Do not use the appliance if the
cable or plug is damaged.
- Ensure that the voltage indica-
ted on the rating label matches
the mains voltage before plug-
ging in the appliance.
- Connect the appliance to a soc-
ket that can supply a minimum
of 16 amperes.
- Only use the appliance with
the specific electric connector
provided.
- If any of the appliance casings
breaks, immediately disconnect
the appliance from the mains
to prevent the possibility of an
electric shock.
