Now you can drive the car
Bonding vehicle and controller
The Carrera RC car and the remote control are bound as a factory setting.
1. Switch the car ON at the ON/OFF switch.
5
The LED on top of the car will flash rhythmically.
6
2. Switch on the controller. The LED on top of the controller will flash
7
rhythmically. After a few seconds, the LEDs on the car and on the control-
ler will light continuously, meaning the bind has been made.
Let's practise!
Warning! This vehicle reaches speeds up to 18 - 20 km/h (11 - 13
8
mph).  Practice on an empty surface at least2.5 metres (8.2') square.
When first starting, be very careful when operating the gas pedal.
Now it's time to practise! Set up a Carrera RC vehicle racing track in a
9
large empty area, using cornerposts, empty cans, or similar objects. The
basic technique to adopt when operating a Carrera RC is to drive fast on the
straight sections and to slow down in the curves.
•    W hen changing from the first battery to the second battery, you must
stop running for at least ten minutes. At the next change, a pause of at
least 20 minutes is absolutely essential.
•    A void constant motor operation.
•    D riving on floor coverings with high resistance will shorten the driving
duration!
•    I f the car switches itself off several times one after another, the battery
is dead. Please   r echarge the battery.
•        W ithin  approx.  30  minutes  of  inactivity,  the  controller  and  vehicle
switch off automatically. To restart, switch the ON/OFF switch on the
controller & the car to OFF and then back to ON.
•    T o switch off after use, follow the steps in the reverse order.
•    A fter use, remove or disconnect the battery. Always recharge the bat-
tery after use to prevent its becoming deep discharged. After use, the
battery must be allowed to cool down for at least 20 minutes before it
can be fully recharged.
•    A lways keep the rechargeable battery stored outside the vehicle.
•    C lean the Carrera RC car after use.

Controller functions

SERVO TRONIC / Differential Steering
10
You can use the joysticks to carry out precise steering and driving ma-
noeuvres.
Joystick left and right: Forwards and backwards with steady movement of
left and right joysticks at the same time.
Steer the car to the left by pushing the right-hand joystick forwards and re-
leasing it again. Steer the car to the right by pushing the left-hand joystick
forwards and releasing it again.
Flip action stunts
11
The flip can be triggered by moving both joysticks quickly and simultane-
ously in opposite directions, either upwards or downwards to the stop,
when the car is moving fast, after which the car will turn a somersault.
360° turn
12
By moving both joysticks slowly and steadily up and down in opposite
directions the vehicle can be made to rotate 360 ° on the spot.
ON-Road Mode
13
Press the left shoulder button to make the two side parts flat, indepen-
dent of whether they are laterally reversed or not.
OFF-Road Mode
14
Press the right shoulder button to bend the two side parts, independent
of whether they are laterally reversed or not.
Exciting figure compbinations result depending on the positioning of the side
parts.
Thanks to 2.4 GHz technology, up to 16 cars can be run together on one
15
race-track. This is possible even without harmonising frequencies be-
tween the racing drivers
ENGLISH
Troubleshooting
Problem:  C ar does not move.
Cause:  Either the switch on the controller or the car is set to OFF.
Solution:  S witch on.
Cause:  There is no rechargeable battery in the car or the battery is too weak.
Solution:  I nsert charged battery.
Cause:  The car has come to a stop at an obstacle.
Solution:    T he voltage surge protector has switched the car off. Turn the ON/
OFF switch on the car to OFF, then back to ON, and place the car
on a clear surface.
Cause:    T he battery or rechargeable battery in the transmitter or model is
too weak.
Solution:  I nsert new battery or recharged battery.
Cause    T he remote control is possibly not correctly frequency bound with
the receiver on the model.
Solution:    C arry out a frequency bind between the model and the remote con-
trol as described in "Now you can drive the car".
Cause:    W ithin approx. 30 minutes of inactivity, the controller and vehicle
switch off automatically.
Solution:    T o restart, switch the ON/OFF switch on both controller & vehicle to
OFF and then back to ON.
Cause:  The vehicle is very warm.
Solution:    S witch both car and controller off and allow the car to cool down for
about 30 minutes.
Cause:    T he overheat protection has caused the car's motor to cut out due
to excess temperature.
Solution:    S witch off the receiver. Leave the RC car to cool down for ap-
prox. 30 minutes.
Problem:    C ar cannot be controlled.
Cause:  Vehicle starts moving unintentionally.
Solution:  F irst turn on the vehicle, only then the transmitter.
