This chapter explains how to set up the port replicator and
dock/undock your computer.

Setting up the port replicator

To set up the port replicator, follow the steps below:
1 Install the serial port driver that came with the port replicator.

You must install the serial driver even if you are not connecting a
serial device to the port replicator. If the driver is not installed,

Windows will continuously prompt you to install it.
Insert the included CD into your computer's optical disc
drive.
Follow the onscreen instructions.
If the installation program does not start automatically, double-click
My Computer or Computer (depending on your operating system),
double-click the CD-ROM icon, and then double-click setup.exe in
the folder for your operating system.
